Learn how to make standing figurines. We will teach you how to create your figurines with internal support to enable them to stand and be securely attached to a cake. Ever had the head fall off a figurine? Discover the tips to make sure that never happens again!
In this workshop you will make two figurines out of sugar modelling paste, one male and one female. Adult figurine measures approximately 15cm tall. Learn how to make the hair, face, smile, and personalise your figurines with real life details such as hair colour, hair style, clothing and accessories such as glasses. In making the head, we will teach you the trick of how to quickly and easily cover a styrofoam ball with a minimum of seams and creases. Once you learn how to make figurines, you will be able to delight all your family and friends with little sugar effigies of themselves, which never fails to delight and amaze.
(Please note, due to time constraints, we will not be making bride and groom figurines in this workshop.)
