Duration: 4 – 4.5 hours in total. This class is held over 2 sessions. Location: Hurstville

Make lifelike and delicate sugar flowers in this hands-on class, suitable for those with some basic experience in flower making or working with flowerpaste. Lorinda will reveal exactly how she makes her large sugar roses, both open (stamens visible) and closed (no stamens visible), and you will create your own gorgeous garden roses measuring approximately 4.5″ diameter. We will also be making the stunning big white magnolia.

  • How to make wired petals and assemble them with floral tape
  • Drying petals using formers
  • Making stamens and flower centres
  • Using cutters and veiners
  • How to work with floral tape to properly assemble flowers
  • Colouring with dusts for depth and realism

Take home: Your completed sugar flowers comprising 1 open rose, 1 closed rose, 1 magnolia
