Prices quoted are inclusive of GST.
All materials and equipment are provided for use in the workshop and there is no need for you to bring anything. Detailed notes and templates (where applicable) are provided for all workshops. For full day workshops (such as those running from 10am – 3pm and longer) a light lunch is served. Check workshop availability here.
Lace Piping
Level: Intermediate

Knowing how to decorate a cake with piped lace will enable you to create your own customised side designs based on a bride’s lace. We will cover a number of different techniques in creating lace, including brush embroidery and use of embellishments such as fondant cut-outs and cachous to create beaded pearl effects. You will learn several different lace designs and practice your newfound piping skills on a pre-iced cake. You will also learn how to apply a lustre finish to your cake without streaks, to give the fondant a beautiful sheen which looks gorgeous with lace cakes.
Techniques covered :
- Applying a lustre (pearlised) finish to fondant
- Mix icing to correct consistency for lace piping
- Transferring the lace design onto the cake
- Brush embroidery

Sugar Flowers for Beginners
| Level: Beginner. Suitable for those with no or little experience in flower making.Learn how to make sugar roses and gardenia. This is the perfect starting place for those new to making sugar flowers. You will learn all about the materials, tools, cutters and techniques to make sugar flowers (sized to suit cupcakes). Discover the tricks and techniques used by the prizewinning sugar artist to bring the touch of realism to your flowers which gives them the Wow factor. You will also learn how to arrange the flowers on cupcakes and make accompanying leaves. (Please note: the gardenia taught in this workshop is the same as that taught in the Mini Handbag workshop.)

Tiffany Cupcakes
| Level: Beginner Duration: 10am – 3pm Complete beginners, start here! You will learn the basics of cupcake decorating and learn everything you need to make these elegant Tiffany-inspired cupcakes, including mini Tiffany boxes and carrier bag, sugar dahlias and sugar keys with diamantes. You will be making all of the toppers yourself (no bought flowers here). Dreaming of Angels

Even if you have never decorated a cupcake before, this workshop will have you creating these sophisticated and stunning roccoco-inspired cupcakes with confidence. The most difficult thing would be eating them afterwards. You will learn a variety of techniques and be introduced to the different materials and tools needed to make edible cameo and cherub toppers. Piping Skills & Lettering
| Level: Beginners & Intermediate
Does the thought of piping a greeting onto a cake or board make you somewhat queasy? In this course, you will learn foolproof techniques to pipe beautiful, neat greetings in a variety of lettering styles with confidence. We will cover the fundamentals of royal icing, including how to make it, recognise the correct consistency for lettering purposes, the best equipment to use, how to hold and handle piping bags and how to pipe borders, beads and snail trail. You will be provided with templates which you can use for future cake projects. You will then practice your new piping skills on cookies, creating classic monogrammed cookies and birdcage cookies. Lorinda will reveal exactly how she makes her large sugar roses, both open (stamens visible) and closed (no stamens visible), and you will create your own gorgeous garden roses measuring approximately 4.5″ diameter.
